I have a 1997 Toyota Rav4. It wouldn't start at all today. It was as if the battery had died... no ding ding when the key was inserted, engine made no noise, power locks did not work. There was no indication of lights left on, doors left open, etc. We tried jump starting - car would crank but as soon as we took the cables off the battery, the car would die. We took in the alternator and battery to an auto store to have them tested, both checked out fine. After putting the parts back in we were able to get the car to crank but now the dash lights do not come on, the gauges don't work, the vents don't come on, power mirrors and windows don't work and the brake lights and turn signals do not work. We have checked all the fuses and nothing has blown. Is there a reset button we need to push in somewhere to reset power to these items? Could it be the terminal is so bad, it's not making a good enough connection for these things to work? Or a cable that has gone bad from the battery?
Together 13 months and he is amazing, does everything for me and wants to make me the happiest woman in the world but some things have come up that seem a bit odd. First he talks about getting engaged and I told him to me it was to soon to do so and he said he wanted me to have a token so as to make it permanent, next he calls me constant even if i am with friends, when we go places he wants me to leave my cell home so my friends cant call me all the time (ok I see that one) when I am out he always wants to know every detail, he wants to do everything together (even the auto parts store) He is a US MARINE FORCE RECON INTRUCTOR and not self concious or lack of self esteem...but when there is mention of any males around he acts like the alpha male, he does not come accross as rude mean or anything. He tells me there is nothing he would not do for me so i will never want anyone else, but when we argue he thinks he always says dont leave me please there is no life without you! what gives?
I am 19 years old i am in the U.S. Navy and I absolutely hate it! I 've graduated boot camp on oct 26 and got moved to tsc which is across from navy boot camp. I ts just like boot camp except we get some liberty. I hate it here in great lakes, I hate it in the navy! All the petty officers and chiefs get to do whatever they want every where i go I always being watched. Those chiefs and petty see the world in black and white, thats why I avoid talking to them for any reason, because I would get chewed out. What I would'nt do to go back to walmart, or napa auto parts, I would rather go back to civilian world work minimum wage and do whatever I want. Its better then being scared of those chiefs and petty officers who are no better then cops. To get through the day I just keep a low profile do as I am told, stay quit, try to not stand out for any reason. If i knew that the navy will be like this i would have never enlisted. The government sucks, the military sucks! I want my life back!
Can some one please help me with a little problem I have? I bought one of those cheap IAT MOD "chips" (resistor) off of EBAY and now my check engine light is on. I know that there is no real problem. Once the check engine light came on, I removed the resisitor and plugged the IAT sensor back in after disconnecting the battery first. Is there any easy to reset the code with out a diagnostic tool or going to the dealership? I went to a auto parts store and they said that they are not allowed to reset errors. I need to have my car inspected by the end of the month and was just wondering if I left my battery unplugged for a few hour if, the error would reset. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks!
I am 17 years old who moved to canada from the caribbean a few months ago for uni so i dont have parents who can just put my name under their insurance plan so that i would only have to pay $1000 or so a year
Because of this my uncle who is an in law said he will put me under his plan so here is the problem. Since i dont live in his house, province and am not blood related to him would he still be able to do so? My dad is using this as an excuse to prevent me from getting a car so i just want to make sure if there is a posiblity before bothering to check with a professional and getting my lisence.
I updated music onto the Media Card for the 1st time about two hours ago, and it worked fine (I'm using the Roxio program).
Now I wanted to put some more music and a video or two on the card, and Roxio says that I need to activate the "Mass Storage Mode" but I already have it on. What do I do?
I went under Applications>Options>Media Card
And the following reads:
Media Card Support - ON
Encryption Mode - NONE
Mass Storage Mode Support - ON
Auto Enable Mass Storage - YES
Total Space [On the my media card]: 971.6 MB
Free Space: 723.7MB

Ok I have an 88 Ranger and I wrecked my truck this past Thursday. I checked my fluids and noticed I was low on antifreeze so I topped it off and when I did I noticed it was leaking onto the ground. I'm not sure where it's coming from because it was running across the bottom of the radiator to the side where the pet**** is and it would drip to the ground from there. I would top it off and it would leak all of that out in about 10 mins. My question is do you think I will need to replace the radiator if so then how long will that take If I do it myself? Also if I do need to replace it would it be better to get the radiator from Advance Auto Parts or from the Ford dealership? Thanks in advance for your help!!
It's not leaking at the petcock because the ground is uneven and you can see the antifreeze on the bottom part of the radiator sliding down it and then dripping off close to the petcock.
It's a 4x4 (obviously, if it has a transfer case), 5 speed manual, 351 gas engine.
I called Advance Auto Parts and they couldn't tell me because their books only go back to 1996 (makes sense.... ?).

Current config:
Windows XP Home SP2 auto-update enabled
PC is wired to wireless router w/WPA2 encryption that connects to DSL
AdAware scan shows only tracking cookies, all deleted when detected
Windows Firewall is on, all exceptions are programs I'm familiar with. That is, there is nothing in the list that I didn't know about.
I also use Norton for virus/firewall. I'm virus free and my definitions are updated.
Windows Firewall is ALWAYS on. Norton Firewall is on 99% of the time too, though I occasionally turn it off when I have firewall conflicts with software. At a minimum Windows Firewall is on constantly.
I use some P2P/torrent software, but never download anything suspicious. I also scan everything I download, and don't share files.
I don't have any reason to believe that my PC has been compromised, I've just got some stuff on there I don't want people to ever see.
Do I need to worry about people accessing my PC/looking at my data
